1. Mechanical properties
Strength and hardness
The strength and hardness of carbon steel coils are positively correlated with the carbon content. Low carbon steel coils (carbon content <0.25%) have excellent plasticity and toughness, and are suitable for stamping and welding scenarios; medium and high carbon steel coils (carbon content ≥0.25%) have significantly improved strength and are suitable for high-load component manufacturing.
Elasticity and wear resistance
High carbon steel coils (carbon content >0.6%) have both high hardness and elasticity after quenching and tempering, and are suitable for wear-resistant parts such as springs and knives.
2. Environmental resistance performance
Corrosion resistance
Ordinary carbon steel coils have weak corrosion resistance, but surface treatments such as galvanizing and color coating can significantly improve their anti-corrosion performance, which is suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical pipelines and building structures.
High temperature resistance

Processing adaptability
Low carbon steel coil has excellent weldability and cold formability, suitable for stamping parts and welded structural parts; hot-rolled steel coil has outstanding mechanical properties, and cold-rolled steel coil has smooth surface and high dimensional accuracy.
Economical efficiency
The production process is simple (such as rolling and welding), and the cost is lower than that of seamless steel pipes. It is suitable for medium and low pressure fluid transportation, machinery manufacturing and other fields.
